Christmas on the Farm

Christmas is a time of joy; a time for love and cheer. A time for making memories to last throughout the year.

Piney Acres Farm's 73 acres has many different styles of trees. If choose and cut trees are your style, grab a guide map from the farm store, a saw from the barn, hop on a hayride and head out to the zone of your choice to find your perfect Christmas tree. Once you and your family cut down your tree, our hay wagon will be back around to bring both you and your tree back to the cozy barn and farm store. While our crew processes your tree and gets it all ready to travel home with you, enjoy hot chocolate, fresh popcorn and visits with Santa in inside.

Additionally, find everything you need to trim your tree and deck the halls in our farm store, from easy peasy tree stands, to unique ornaments, handmade fresh wreaths and swags to old fashioned tensile.

Don't forget to say hello to our barnyard animals and check out all the holiday favorites our barn and farm store.

Don't forget share a little bit of the holiday season with our troops as well. Piney Acres Farm is a proud Trees for Troops site.

However, if you prefer to select from a pre-cut fresh tree lot, we have that available as well. Browse through our aisles of fresh live trees by style and find your perfect tree for the holiday season. Our pre-cut lot has: Fraser Firs up to 14', Grand Firs up to 10', and Nordman Firs up to 8'.

We also allow our farm guests to tag their tree in October during their fall visits to the farm if they wish.

Tree processing includes: a little shake, shake, shake on our special machine to remove any loose needles, a pre-drilled tree stand hole (if requested), wrapping/netting the tree and securing above your car for travel home.

Trees on the Farm & Tree Prices

Many different types of trees can be found at Piney Acres Farm, because we understand that different families have different needs. The handy chart below rates all of our different types of trees based on criteria listed along the top of the chart and from a scale of 1-5, with 1 being the least and 5 being the most. We hope this helps you in that biggest of decisions during the holiday season and picking out your perfect Christmas tree. Click here for 2016 garland and tree pricing.

Trees for Troops

Each year Piney Acres Farm and their surrounding community gives back through the Trees for Troops program. Throughout early November trees and donations are collected at Piney Acres Farm, then around mid-November the local National Guard brings their convoy out to the farm to help collect all the trees and transport them to a central location in Boone County for preparation and packing for the FedEx pick-up and shipment to troops overseas just in time for the holidays.

Such a great program that brings the joy of the holiday season to those that protect and serve this great county. Stop by our farm store and pick out a tree to send or donate funds to help support the 200-300 trees that are sent each year through the Indiana Christmas Tree Growers.
