| How it works...A gem mining sluice is a trough where water circulates over and over again by means of a pump. Purchase a bag of mining rough enriched with gems, emeralds and rubies from all over the world at our gift shop. Then, take the bag to the sluice and sift through it. The water washes the sand away and what is left are all the pretty gems that you get to keep. Each 'miner' also receives an identification card so they can take it home and identify all their new gems. Even the big kids will want to get in on this one. It's fun for the whole family! |
